Announcing Princess Ida as our 2015 production

Our next performance:
Tuesday 12th August, Royal Hall, Harrogate as part of
The 21st International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival

Harrogate Gilbert and Sullivan Society performed for the first time at the International Festival in 2013 and scooped the second runners-up prize with their excellent production of 'The Mikado'.

The Captain's daughter, Josephine, falls in love with a lower-class sailor instead of her father's choice, the First Lord of the Admiralty, Sir Joseph Porter. This charming story pokes fun at the Royal Navy, parliamentary politics and the rise of unqualified people to positions of authority

Harrogate Gilbert and Sullivan Society
We are a society dedicated to the promotion of the works of Gilbert and Sullivan. We perform one of their operas annually at Harrogate Theatre. Additionally, we hold a Christmas concert at the Royal Hall in conjunction with the Brighouse and Rastrick Band.
